  1. I cried with Chapter 1.

    It has taken me a bit to get into the swing of the writer's rhythm and the dog perspective, but I'm sailing right along now!

    1. I am not far because the first chapter was sad, and animal stories sometimes invoke lifelong trauma, such as Ol Yeller, Bambi, where the red fern grows, etc.

      But I do like the dog's intellect, and I love that he is a conspiracy theorist! Now that I'm into it, I can see it'll be a fast read.

  2. So, Rutabagas, how is the reading going? I finished the book, and cried through several parts because they were both sad and touching. I bawled with the very final chapter and then felt silly about it. I want to say more, but want to hear where you are at with the book first,
